Stephen Moyer’s True Blood Directorial Debut: What Did You Think of Season 5, Episode 8?
Tonight, True Blood star Stephen Moyer did double duty. Not only did he play the role of increasingly barbaric Bill Compton, but he also stepped into another role — that of television director. Season 5, Episode 8: "Somebody That I Used to Know" marked the actor's True Blood directorial debut.
If you ask us, the episode was one of the best so far, and not just because we got to see Alcide's naked butt (but that was a nice bonus). After a rather disjointed season, "Somebody That I Used to Know" felt cohesive and well-paced. Plotlines advanced, tensions mounted, and now, we're finally ready for the big vampire civil war that's been teased all season long.
Stephen's episode, momentous and action-packed as it was, felt like the calm before the storm — and by storm, we really mean the bloodbath that's about to soil our favorite Sookie Stackhouse booty shorts.
