Steven R. McQueen Shows Love For Ed Sheeran — What’s His Favorite Song?

We’ve always loved The Vampire DiariesSteven R. McQueen (Jeremy Gilbert) — as well as his ever-growing arms — but our affection for him has just grown after reading his most recent tweet regarding his musical and cinematic taste. Which Ed Sheeran song does Steven heart?

“I see fire - @edsheeran,” Steven tweeted on November 6, referencing Ed’s newest song, “I See Fire,” which is an additional track on the soundtrack for the Hobbit sequel, The Desolation of Smaug.

The song was composed and performed by the British musician, and it is awesome. The music video director Peter Jackson posted on November 5 shows a black-and-white Ed working on the song in his recording studio, intercut with color footage from the upcoming epic fantasy film. We wonder if Steven was originally drawn to this song as an Ed fan or a Hobbit fan? Who cares, we love that he loves it either way (though, we’re secretly hoping it was both).

We’re pretty much on board with all of Steven’s pop culture leanings. Last month, he retweeted Joseph Morgan’s, “Tonight. 8pm. The CW. The war begins. Whose side are you on. #TheOriginals,” with a decisive: “@JosephMorgan I am on your side ombré!” As we’re also on Team Klaus, we approve of Steven’s pledge of public support. Another one of Steven’s pop culture obsessions? CW’s superhero drama, Arrow! Check out what he tweeted at the Arrow writers after last night’s episode: “Hey @ARROWwriters ‘be mindful of your surroundings’ = awesome.” You = awesome, Steven.
