Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star Stevie J. has been getting a lot of attention recently — mostly due to claims by his ex-girlfriend, Carol Bennett, that he owes $1.2 million in unpaid child support. In a recent interview with Hello Beautiful, Stevie addressed the subject by saying that not only does he “do right” by his kids, but that his baby mama is just looking for attention.
“I’m a great father. Sometimes, women just go hard off their emotions and I understand that. I do right by my kids,” Stevie told the website. “I’ve been to court several times because of this. But, everything is under control. My kids love me, I love my children and all my baby mamas and I especially love my wife.”
When Stevie was asked what he thought Carol’s motives were for holding the press conference, he said in his typical Stevie fashion, “Everybody wanna get bank, you know what I’m sayin? It’s just all in timing. Everybody be patient, everybody gon’ get their shine.”
He officially disputed the claims — saying that he does not owe millions in child support — and further went on to say that his children adore him.
“Check them out on Instagram. Who they love? They daddy, right? Of course, their mothers too, but me and my kids have a great relationship, especially my daughters and my son,” he bragged. “I was just with them two weeks before that.”
