Survivor Winner Aras Baskauskas Welcomes Baby Boy! What’s His Name?
There’s a new man on the island! Survivor: Panama champion Aras Baskauskas is a dad! He and fiancée Christy Petersen welcomed a baby boy on Thursday, May 29, the TV star confirms to People.
Fittingly enough, Aras and Christy looked to nature for inspiration on what to call their firstborn. Any guesses on what the little guy’s named? Tiki? Jeff, Jr.? Wrong and wrong (thankfully). Let’s give a big hello to River Juozas Baskauskas.

Weighing 6 lbs., 10 oz. and measuring 19.25 inches long, River met his two ecstatic parents at 1:54 p.m. yesterday. “Christy and I are over the moon at the arrival of our son,” Aras tells People. “Neither of us can believe that this little alien is ours, but we are madly in love with him.”
The proud papa has already shared a photo of his son and, no surprise, he’s out of this world cute! “Welcome to the world, River Juozas Baskauskas! May 29th will forever be your day! @crittycat00 and I are so happy to be your parents!,” Aras captioned his first father-son photo.
Mama Christy (aka @crittycat00) shared an even sweeter photo of her lil monkey. “Baby River,” she wrote of the sleepy newborn wrapped in a fleece blanket. Her husband-to-be says the couple decided they loved the name River for a boy “long before we ever got pregnant.” As for their son’s middle name, it’s Aras’s grandfather’s name and means “Joseph” in Lithuanian.
