Survivor Caramoan Finale: Brenda Makes Dawn Remove Teeth, Cochran Wins

Brenda: "I want you to take out your teeth, Dawn."

Wow. Yeah, after Dawn Meehan's betrayal of Brenda Lowe (congrats on the pregnancy!) on last week's episode of Survivor Caramoan: Fans vs. Favorites, it was pretty clear Brenda would be angry with Dawn. But did Brenda go too far to ask Dawn to humiliate herself in front of the jury by removing her teeth?

You could argue that Dawn earned that humiliation by exploiting friendships, as she admitted. But Dawn made good arguments for herself, saying she was the one who built those friendships and used them to make moves, and without doing that, she and John Cochran may never have made it to the end. (Poor Sherri Biethman was an afterthought at final Tribal Council, and even got blasted by Erik, who was his own seashell on the beach, never mind Eddie Fox who did arguably just as little as his fellow "Fan" to get close to the end.)

Dawn seemed to take the bulk of the heat at Tribal Council, with Cochran fielding glowing comments/questions. Phillip Sheppard called him a "class act" (guess he didn't realize how often Cochran was insulting him, and many others, behind their backs.) Cochran even got to talk about hanging out at the bar with the Amigos. Cochran won easily — unanimously! — so poor Dawn was humiliated for nothing.

Do you feel sorry for Dawn or do you think she got what she deserved? It's not like Cochran didn't earn a win — he won four individual challenges, and kept his hands relatively clean — but a total domination win, with so much hurt for Dawn? ... It looks like fans at home didn't agree with the Cochran domination, at least not by Player of the Season voting time: Malcolm barely scraped a win over Brenda. This is what happens when voting starts on the Wednesday before the finale. People vote based on that episode and they have no idea what will happen on the finale.

(By the way, per spoilers, that tease for Season 27 is probably about blood being thicker than water. They are supposedly having more "favorites" return, each playing alongside/competing against a loved one.)
