Susan Sarandon Is a Grandmother! Daughter Eva Amurri Martino Welcomes Baby Girl
You might want to start calling Susan Sarandon grandmother — or as she prefers, “honey” — because her daughter Eva Amurri Martino recently gave birth to her first child!
According to People, Eva and her husband, Kyle Martino, welcomed daughter Marlowe Mae Martino on August 9. She weighs in at 6 lbs. and 11 oz. The new parents are “thrilled and enjoying the new addition to their family,” a rep for the family tells People.
The couple announced they were expecting back in Februrary and simultaneously revealed they were going to have a little girl in March. "Who run the world? GIRLS! #BabyGirlMartino," Eva tweeted to her legions of fans.
Well, now that the joyous day has finally arrived, Baby Girl Martino is well on her way to running the world Beyoncé-style, and we’re all about supporting her.
As for the new grandmother, we’re sure Susan is just as excited as the new parents, especially since she finally gets to test out that new name of hers.
“I borrowed this name from a very dear friend of mine who’s from the South, and his grandma was ‘Honey,’” Susan dished toPeopleback in March. “That’s what I’m experimenting with, and Eva likes it, so we’ll see.”
