Nashville Synopsis: Season 2, Episode 11 — “I’ll Keep Climbing”

After the heart-stopping midseason finale of Nashville, the lives of Peggy (Kimberly Williams-Paisley) and Will (Chris Carmack) were hanging in the balance, and the emotional aftermath is going to be playing out when the sophomore series returns on January 15.

But the epic return of the down-home drama isn’t going to be all doom and gloom, and that’s largely due to Kelly Clarkson’s guest role, which promises amazing things for Gunnar (Sam Palladio) and Scarlett (Clare Bowen).

Meanwhile, Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) is dealing with her new title, homewrecker, while Rayna (Connie Britton) is dealing with the pressure of needing to succeed after buying herself out of Edgehill. Get it together, gang!

After reading the synopsis, you might realize that there is no mention about who is going to die, but a quick glance at the actors listed in the episode reveals that Will will apparently appear in the episode while there is no mention of Peggy at all. Could this be the evidence we needed to determine who bites the dust? We’ll let you decide!

Check out the full synopsis below:

“In the aftermath of the death of someone in their circle, lives are changed forever in the world of Nashville, and a new mystery arises. Kelly Clarkson guest stars as herself and makes Gunnar and Scarlett a once-in-a-lifetime offer. Juliette’s reputation takes another body blow as creative video editing seems to show her proclaiming there is no God, further fueling her detractors. Rayna’s bought herself out of Edgehill, but the the pressure to succeed is greater than ever, and Deacon struggles to write during his sobriety and relative stability and finds help from Maddie and Daphne.”
