Scandal Synopsis: Season 3, Episode 5 — “More Cattle, Less Bull”

Scandal Season 3 has been on a roll with incredible guest stars, and that trend continues with Season 3, Episode 5: “More Cattle, Less Bull.” In addition to Lisa Kudrow continuing her arc as sharp-tongued Democratic Congresswoman Josie Marcus, we’ll meet Private Practice’s Paul Adelstein as Leo Bergen, a character who we know next-to-nothing about. (Co-star Darby Stanchfield said, “Paul Adelstein is incredibly, crazy surprising in his role on Scandal,” Darby revealed. “Like, you will not even recognize him.”)

Notably, Paul will be joined by Heroes’ Jack Coleman, who is billed as Daniel Douglas Langston, hinting that he’s a family member of Vice President Sally Langston — perhaps her husband?

While the short synopsis doesn’t reveal much (surprise, surprise), it does hint at an interesting Olivia and Mellie run-in and some reveals about the mysterious Operation Remington. Unfortunately, it calls for “devastating results,” which could mean big deaths. Fingers crossed that’s not the case.

Read on for the full synopsis from ABC, then hit the comments with your thoughts!

“The team investigates Democratic Congresswoman Josie Marcus (Lisa Kudrow), while Olivia and Mellie have a surprising run-in during the White House Correspondents' Dinner. Meanwhile, Jake and Huck get closer to the truth about Operation Remington, which could lead to devastating results.”

Scandal airs on Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
