Pretty Little Liars Synopsis For Season 4, Episode 20 — “Free Fall”

On the most recent episode of Pretty Little Liars (Season 4, Episode 17: “Bite Your Tongue”), Spencer convinced Andrew to give her some of his study pills so she could stay up piecing together “A” clues, and now she’s totally hooked. Unfortunately, for Spencer, it looks like her dependency on prescription pills is only going to get worse.

In the synopsis for Season 4, Episode 20 (“Free Fall”), “Spencer is determined that it is finally time to tell Aria about what she has found out about Ezra, but Emily and Hanna are worried about what it could do to their friend.” It sounds like Spencer’s investigation into Ezra’s shady past with Ali continues throughout the next few episodes, but it’s going to take a toll on her mental stability.

The synopsis continues: “A wrench is thrown into the plan when Ezra tells Aria about his concern and suspicion of Spencer’s recent addiction problem. Now with Spencer’s credibility being questioned, can the girls trust what Spencer has been telling them about Ezra could this all be a figment of Spencer’s tired brain or really just a clever ploy by Ezra to cover his tracks?”

Whoa. So the Liars are going to take Ezra’s word over Spencer’s? We know Aria is going to have a hard time coming to terms with Ezra’s identity as Board Shorts, but we would hope she’d trust her friend. Or, is Spencer’s addiction truly getting out of hand? Our heads are already spinning!

With so much attention being paid to the hunt for “A,” what ever happened to the search for who was buried in Ali’s grave? We’re hoping Detective Hanna steps up to the plate because Spencer’s brain needs a break.
