The Vampire Diaries Synopsis For Season 5, Episode 5: “Monster’s Ball”

Supernatural shows have a tendency to go all-out for Halloween episodes, and we’re glad that The Vampire Diaries isn’t going to disappoint us this year. Season 5, Episode 5: “Monster’s Ball” airs tonight, and if you’re a true TVD fan, you know that things get crazy at any dance — seriously!

It looks like this is going to be a huge episode for our couples, Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Caroline (Candice Accola) and Tyler (Michael Trevino). Delena is going to show up to the ball dressed as Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn (hey, wasn’t Anne beheaded by Henry?) and Candice is going to go from happy to sad (is this the big breakup that we’ve been teased about?).

There’s also going to be some major drama between Damon and Silas (Paul Wesley) while Nadia (Olga Fonda) is going to reveal some surprising things to Katherine (also played by Nina). Our minds are already racing!

Check out the official synopsis below and then hit the comments to let us know what you think is going to go down in this special Halloween episode:

“On campus, Elena (Nina Dobrev) is touched by a sad and secretive student named Aaron (guest star Shaun Sipos). Elena and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) attend the Whitmore Historical Ball dressed as Anne Boleyn and Henry VIII. At the Ball, Elena shares a dance with Dr. Maxfield (guest star Rick Cosnett), who has a disturbing message for her. Caroline’s (Candice Accola) evening at the Ball takes her from happiness to heartbreak. Meanwhile, Nadia (guest star Olga Fonda) reveals her surprising history to Katherine (Nina Dobrev), and Damon tries to make a deal with Silas (Paul Wesley). Silas’ demand that Damon commit an unthinkable act leads to a violent confrontation. Kat Graham and Zach Roerig also star.”

The Vampire Diaries airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW. Don’t miss out on any fangtastic drama!
