Synopsis for Glee Season 5, Episode 9: “Frenemies”
It seems like it's been decades since we've gotten a new Glee episode. Luckily, there is light at the end of the tunnel, as new episodes start up again on February 25 with Season 5, Episode 9: "Frenemies." And we're now learning some concrete details on what will happen.
Fox has released its official synopsis for the episode, and it turns out that our speculation about Santana (Naya Rivera) landing a part in Funny Girl with Rachel (Lea Michele) has been verified. Here's what we have to look forward to:
GLEE celebrates its Spring Premiere with a move to a new night and time: Tuesdays at 8:00 PM. Santana (Naya Rivera) auditions and snags the role of Rachel’s (Lea Michele) understudy in “Funny Girl,” causing a feud between the roommates. Meanwhile, back in Lima, Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) and Artie (Kevin McHale) compete against each other to be the class valedictorian.
Wow! Lots of tension awaits in the episode. We've had a feeling that Santana would be auditioning for Funny Girl, given that Santana has been rumored to be singing "Don't Rain on My Parade" in the episode. So we can't wait to see how Rachel handles this. Translation: We're concerned.
Meanwhile, we're looking forward to storylines that weren't mentioned in the synopsis, like the fact that Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Starchild (Adam Lambert) will reportedly be singing a sexy duet together. Could more sparks continue to fly between these two? The suspense!
