Tamar Braxton Staged ‘BFV’ Episode About ‘The Real’ Firing — Report
In the segment, Tamar’s husband, Vincent Herbert, calls Toni Braxton to rush over and console her baby sister, who is completely distraught by her unforeseen termination.
NEWS: Who Got Tamar Braxton Fired From The Real?
The Love & War singer reveals she was fired because she “didn’t get along with the castmates,” later adding, “people are telling me I don’t get along with my friends… or are they my friends? I don’t know. And I don’t get along with production. I’m just stunned.”
She later says, “I just don’t know what I did wrong!” and sobs over the humiliation and the bad year she’d been having (which included her health scare and exit from Dancing With the Stars Season 21).
As gut-wrenching as the scene was, a new report claims it was all staged for the cameras and production for The Real is threatening to expose the 38-year-old.
Insiders tell The Daily Mail “they reenacted the day that Tamar found out she was fired and staged an entire scene where Tamar is laying in bed crying and declaring that she doesn't know why she was fired.” Apparently Warner Bros. was not pleased.
A source said the production company even sent legal documents to WEtv about the episode claiming they would seek legal action if the former talk show host or her husband said anything disparaging about The Real or violated their non-disclosure agreements.
Furthermore, the duo were allegedly threatened with footage of the Grammy Award nominee throwing on-set tantrums and cursing executive producers that can prove the alleged diva behavior she didn’t own up to during the scene.
“It would definitely affect her ability to get work in this business,” the informant said.
Staged or not, Tamar has since turned her abrupt dismissal into a new opportunity. On June 2, actor Steve Harvey announced he signed the reality star to his production company and will be working to give the singer her own show.
A new episode of Braxton Family Values airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on WEtv.
