Tamar Braxton is booked these days, guys. What with being a mom, a Grammy-nominated artist, reality star, and daytime talk show host on The Real, Tamar still managed to work on a follow-up album to her mega-successful work, Love & War. And now, Tay-Tay has officially dropped the first single, “Let Me Know,” featuring Atlanta rapper-producer Future.

Shying away from her usual vocal acrobatics, Tay gives a pretty good performance on the mid-tempo record, which samples the chorus line, “let me know,” from The Isley Brothers’ hit song, “At Your Best (You Are Love),” that was later revamped in the ‘90s by the late Aaliyah.

Oh, and did we mention that Tamar goes into her whistle register (something musical greats like Mariah Carey and Chanté Moore are synonymous for)? Oh, she did it! As for Future, he croons in the background, bringing a bit of the male persona to complement Tamar’s lyrics of staying by her man’s side no matter what.

“Let Me Know” ft. Future will be available for purchase on iTunes on TK, and you can watch Tamar work on her latest album during Tamar & Vince Season 3, which premieres October 23 on WEtv.
