Tammy Rivera Reveals Why She Joined Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Season 3
Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Season 3 has introduced a couple new faces to the high-drama reality TV show, including rapper Waka Flocka Flame’s fianceé, Tammy Rivera. Many people are probably wondering why Tammy decided to join the crazy crew — especially with its track record for breaking up seemingly happy couples. But according to Tammy, the timing was right for her to make the big jump onto the TV.
“It’s just a point right now in my life where for the first time with my fiancé I feel stable,” Tammy confessed to Sister 2 Sistermagazine.
Tammy told S2S that she and Waka were approached with joining the cast of LHHATL since Season 1 (who knew?!), but she didn’t feel that her relationship with Waka was strong enough to survive having the cameras around her.
“I wasn’t interested. It just wasn’t the right time in my life,” she said, but after several years of being with Waka — and a little coaxing from his mom, Deb Antney — she thought that their relationship was at a place where being on a show notorious for side chicks and cat fights couldn’t possibly touch it.
“We’ve been through hell and high water, so I doubt if this TV show can even compare to half the stuff I’ve been through with this man,” Tammy stated, adding, “This right here, this is small peanuts for us.”
Let’s just hope that Waka and Tammy’s love can survive the reality TV curse — especially since the Season 3 premiere kicked off with Tammy telling Waka she’s still insecure about his past indiscretions.
