Real Housewives of Orange County star Tamra Barney is weighing in on the controversy that's brewing over whether the show's scenes are faked.
Radar Online published an email last week that was reportedly written by a RHOC producer in October 2011 to Tamra's ex-husband Simon Barney about filming a scene with their children.
"Let me know if you’ve changed your mind about filming the scene we spoke about going to get ice [cream] with the kids and then handing them over to Tamra," reads the email. "If you’re up for it, we can take it from there."
"I should be clear that we wouldn’t be able to give you any editorial approval over the footage though," the email continues. "Just want to make sure we’re on the same page on that."
So does this mean that the show is fake? Not so, says Tamra. "News alert!" she tweets on December 13. "Asking if you want to film getting ice cream with your kids is not a fake scene. #lame."
"You have to get approval to film at locations," Tamra explains. "I asked to film with him & the kids. Production sets it up — you need approval to film [on] location."
Do you agree that this email reveals the show is fake? Or do you think Tamra's explanation makes sense?
