“Tan Mom” Patricia Krentcil Might Sue School Because Daughter Got Sunburn

The irony is real.

Patricia Krentcil, the woman who became an overnight sensation as “Tan Mom” in 2012, is back in the limelight.

This time, she's threatening her daughter's school for letting her daughter get sunburned.

The obsessive tanner broke headlines in 2012 when she took her daughter Anna into a salon with her and was accused of putting her daughter in the tanning bed.

She was all over the news and even parodied on Saturday Night Live.

Anna is now 11 years old and her mother is upset that she returned home from school one day with a bad sunburn.

“She was totally burned. I packed her [sunscreen] and she came home like a French fry,” Patricia told the New York Post.

In 2012, it was actually a nurse at Anna's school in New Jersey who had told police that the 5-year-old had been burned from trips to the tanning salon.

Now the "Tan Mom" wants her revenge on the school for ratting her out.

“After what they did to me, they didn’t put lotion on her? This time, I’m going after them,” she said in response to her daughter's burn.

The mother of five is in contact with her lawyer about a potential case against the Nutley Public School District for neglect.

According to the viral star, teachers at her daughter's school “harass [Anna]. They always ask her, ‘Are you OK [at home]?’”

“My kids were angry and fed up. They were embarrassed, made fun of. Teachers made fun of me in front of my kids.”

Life hasn't been that great for the 49-year-old since getting arrested all those years ago.

“I was banned from all [Nutley-area] salons. They put up wanted signs: ‘Do not let this woman tan here.’ ”

She still claims that she was innocent in the whole ordeal and that her week in jail was a scary moment of her life.

“I didn’t know if I’d see my kids again. I still have nightmares. I did nothing wrong.”
