Pretty Little Liars Star Ashley Benson Talks Tattoos: “Everything Happens to Me in Threes”
Pretty Little Liarsstar Ashley Benson has tricked us with temporary tattoos before, but now the starlet is fessing up about just how much ink she really has. Ash talked to Byrdie about her tattoos and the power of three.
“I have a tiny three because everything happens to me in threes; it’s kind of my lucky number,” Ashley told the beauty magazine. “I’ve always wanted a cross. I’ve been drawing it on me for years, and I wanted two anchors on my feet to keep myself grounded. And this “G” is for my friend’s daughter; she’s the sweetest little girl in the world.”
We knew about the “G” — check out a picture of both the tat and the oh-so-adorable toddler who inspired it— but we didn’t know about the “3.” Very cool! Does this mean she also has a cross an anchors, or are those just tattoos planned for the future? If not, Ash can always experiment on the PLL set. In 2011, Ash tweeted a photo of herself getting a temporary tattoo painted on in one of the PLL set trailers. The design? A rose with a heart and a number three in the middle of it. Seems like Ash has been thinking about the “3” for a long time!
Ashley isn’t the only Pretty Little Liar who has inked her skin. Lucy Hale has a bow on the back of her neck, and the word “light” tattooed on her side. Tyler Blackburn has an unidentifiable black tattoo on his wrist that the PLL team is usually careful to cover up with makeup whenever Ty is in character as Caleb. PLL parental Holly Marie Combs dons a rose on her right shoulder blade, a butterfly and tribal design around her right wrist, and an Anglo-Saxon design around her left wrist tattoo. Shay Mitchell has an oh-so-light “love” etched into an infinity sign on her wrist (very Emily Thorne!).
Did you know about the PLL cast’s tattoos? Are you surprised by any of them? Which one is your favorite? Sound off in the comments below!
