Taylor Swift Announces Sixth Studio Album Name and Release Date (UPDATE)

UPDATE (8/23/17 at 2:39 p.m. ET): 

She don’t give a damn about her reputation!

Taylor Swift officially announced the title for her sixth studio album, which will be called Reputation, and revealed it’s set for release on November 10.

In a series of posts on Instagram, the 27-year-old also dished the first single from her new album will be released Thursday, August 24. 

The news of her album came just moments after the “Shake It Off” singer shared the third video of a snake on Instagram, the animal critics have associated with her over the years.

Are you okay, Taylor? 

On Friday, most of the content from Taylor Swift's social media accounts mysteriously dissapeared, leaving fans wondering what on earth is going on. 

According to People, Taylor or whoever had oontrol over her accounts deleted posts on her Instagram and Tumblr pages, unfollowed everyone she was following on Twitter, and removed the content from her website.

Her avatar picture was also removed from all her social media platforms. 

The two most prominent theories for the change are that the singer was hacked, or that she is about to debut new music.

Hollywood Life points out that August 18 is the three-year anniversary of the day Taylor debuted "Shake it Off" and announced the then forthcoming 1989 album. 

The optimist in us hopes this is part of a cool music release strategy, and not a hacker stirring trouble. 

Some are also theorizing it's part of a rebranding debut on the part of the 27-year-old.

What will happen in Taylor's new chapter in the spotlight? 

Others are just watching it all go down. 

The musician recently made headlines during her sexual assault lawsuit against DJ David Mueller.

The star spoke honestly and unwaveringly in her testimony, and eventually won the case.
