Going by the old motto that attests that “all publicity is good publicity,” Victoria’s Secret model Jessica Hart is having a great month. Sure, she was rumored to have almost been fired by the lingerie brand — a story which was later debunked by a company executive — and she endured the wrath of Taylor Swift fans everywhere after she said that the chart-topping star “didn’t fit” during her performance at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. But think about it: We all know her name now (a tough pull for a model, no matter how successful), and she kept her job. Not too shabby!

Regardless, Jessica is still addressing the controversy in her cover story for January’s issue of Vogue Australia. The native Aussie says she feels bad for talking ill of America’s Country Sweetheart, claiming that her true meaning of the statement was misconstrued.

“It was taken out of context, but I have certainly learnt my lesson," Jessica tells the publication.

Hmm, we understand wanting to calm those T.Swift stans, but this isn’t totally ringing true to us. She made multiple offending comments against Taylor, including that she couldn’t “pull it off as a Victoria’s Secret model” because “what it takes to make it here comes from experience and confidence and knowing how to be confident with yourself. I think it comes with age.” Yea, all of that couldn’t have been “taken out of context.”

However, it’s good to see that Jessica is keeping her hands clean of Taylor drama moving forward. Better to apologize and move on, basking in all of the newfound attention she’s received from this non-controversy. The girl is on the cover of a major fashion magazine, after all. It can’t all be bad.

What do you think of Jessica’s response? Sound off below.
