Nina Dobrev Teases Katherine’s Baby Bump in Hilarious Throwback Photo

With no new episode of The Vampire Diaries this week, we were left without our favorite show only to continue mourning the official death of Katherine Pierce. Apparently Nina Dobrev was feeling a little nostalgic too, because she just posted the greatest throwback photo of the Petrova doppelganger — complete with a huge baby bump!

“#TBT to the 1400's when Katherine was knocked up. Wait a second … Is that a beer belly or is @Tytheprince11 pregnant too?” Nina captioned the photo on her WhoSay page.

Geez, does Nina know how to have fun or what? She and TVD production assistant Ty Armstead are always goofing around. Remember when she and Ty were joking around in her trailer of Let’s Be Cops? In fact, Ty has been known to take behind-the-scenes photos of tons of the TVD cast, just look at this hilarious one of Ian Somerhalder in his airstream trailer and Steven R. McQueen taking a nap.

But let’s get back to Katherine’s baby bump! We obviously know that it’s little Nadia (Olga Fonda) in there. This tumultuous mother-daughter relationship really came to the forefront in Season 5, Episode 15 (“Gone Girl”) when Nadia took her last breath. Katherine finally became the mother Nadia deserved and gave her the sweetest dream to remember her by.

We’re so glad that we can now document Katherine’s fifteenth century pregnancy. Things were so medieval back then — we’re glad she and Nadia lived long lives. Of course, being a Traveler and a vampire helped with that, too.

What do you think about this hilarious throwback photo? Hit the comments and let us know!

The Vampire Diaries airs Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
