Recap of Teen Mom 2 Season 5, Reunion Special Part 1 (April 15, 2014)
Fans have been blown away by Leah Messer and Corey Simms's amazing co-parenting during this season of Teen Mom 2. These two had a messy divorce, but they've managed to come together for the sake of their twin daughters, Aliannah and Aleeah — which is completely necessary considering that Ali has a severe developmental disorder.
Leah and Corey are in constant communication about their daughter's health, but their great relationship is often a source of contention with Leah's husband, Jeremy Calvert, and Corey's wife, Miranda Patterson. Both Jeremy and Miranda have jealousy issues regarding the amount of time Leah and Corey spend together. Jeremy totally lost it when he returned home from a work trip and realized that Leah had been texting her ex-hubby about subjects other than their daughters.
So, do these two still have feelings for one another? Dr. Drew sat down with Corey and Leah during Teen Mom 2's Season 5 Reunion Special and asked just that! "Corey and I will always be good friends," Leah explained. "We share kids together and that connection will never go away. But at this point that's all it is."
Meanwhile, Corey also denied having feelings for Leah, saying, "No, there's definitely not [lingering feelings]. It's different than most teenage young adult relationships that have children. We have twins. One has a very rare condition."
It's totally understandable that Leah and Corey have to be in communication, and it seems like they get along even better now than they did when they were married!
