It’s the moment we’ve been waiting for ever since news broke that Jenelle Evans served estranged husband, Courtland Rogers, with divorce papers. While that took place in real life back in May, fans can finally see what went down during tonight’s new episode of Teen Mom 2.
In this clip from OK! Magazine, Jenelle and her entourage (see: baby daddy Nathan Griffith and mom Barbara Evans), make a visit to the Sullivan & Snow, PLLC offices where they get all legal with attorney Trey Martin.
“So nothing is preventing you guys from this point in time from filing for the divorce,” Trey explains in the sneak peek. “What that entails is drafting a complaint for absolute divorce on your behalf — which I will do — and serving him with that complaint, and thereby giving him legal notice.”
As if on cue, Nathan asks, “In that request, you’re going to state about the multiple drug charges, the felonies, and stuff like that that pretty much when the judge sees it, he’s going to be like, ‘I understand why she’s filing for divorce,’ right?” Oh Nathan, if only it was that easy!
In case you need you a refresher, Jenelle married Courtland during a small ceremony (sans MTV camera!) back in December 2012. The relationship unfortunately fizzled after these two were both arrested in April 2013 for heroin possession.
But here’s where things got even more sticky: Thanks to a rule in her home state of North Carolina, Jenelle had to wait a full year before filing divorce.
During that time, Jenelle managed to meet her now boyfriend, Nathan, and get pregnant with her second child. Oh, the drama!
