‘Teen Mom’ Jobs — Here’s What The Cast Does For Work IRL

On next week’s episode of Teen Mom OG, we’ll see two out of the four girls — Maci Bookout and Amber Portwood — get started on business ventures with their significant others. Because even though MTV pays the bills, let’s be honest — you can’t really put “reality star” on your real life resume forever.

And believe it or not, the majority of the other girls in the TMOG and Teen Mom 2 franchise have legit jobs, too, although filming a series does seem like a pretty sweet gig.

“I would love to be a host at some point,” Kail told us back in 2013. While finishing up her degree, Kail has written a memoir and a children’s book, plus launched a DIY interior design blog, Live, Love, Linens, with her best friend, Sterling Black.

Amber and her fiance, Matt Baier, have started their own business of house flipping. “Locally we flip houses and we’re home investors and about to invest in some homes in Florida, so we’re doing a lot of things together,” Amber told Wetpaint of her and her husband-to-be.

Jenelle has a degree in clinical medical assisting, though she hasn’t exactly put it to use yet. She claims to have gotten a job offer after her graduation in July 2015, but the 24-year-old tweeted that instead, she’s thinking of going back to school to become a surgical technician.

Cate and husband Tyler Baltierra make a lot of their money doing speaking engagements, where they get paid to travel the country to talk about their experience with adoption. Must be nice, right?

But as we saw last season, Cate is focusing on being a mom to Nova right now while Tyler pursues college. He is hoping to study filmmaking, but Catelynn admits he’s a good writer, too.

“He writes really good,” Cate told Wetpaint. “He’s got a book that he’s been writing for a while. It’s really good.”

Now, Aubree’s mama is a full-fledged esthetician, working at a salon in South Dakota and doing makeup for weddings on the side. But if the skincare thing doesn’t work out, we wouldn’t be surprised if she and fiance Cole DeBoer start their very own farm, inspired by their pet pig, Petey.

Farrah’s professional history is a little all over the place at this point — she’s got a mommy and me beauty kit with daughter Sophia, a trilogy of erotic novels, a line of sex toys, and ah, yes, a sex tape aptly titled Backdoor Teen Mom. She’s also appeared on numerous other reality shows, like Botched, Vh1’s Couples Therapy and Celebrity Big Brother UK.

The mom of three’s line of work is perhaps the most unknown of all the TM ladies, since she’s dabbled in quite a few career paths since high school — she tried nursing, beauty school, and even did a stint at a tanning salon.

Leah is currently working as a Mary Kay makeup consultant, but it’s still not clear if she has a full-time gig. We’re sure spending time with her girls and battling it out with Corey Simms in court is basically just as time-consuming, though.
