As OG Teen Mom couple Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra prepare to say their “I Dos” on July 13, 2013, they took some time on June 26 to tweet their support to same-sex couples who were granted that same right.
The Supreme Court ruled the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) to be unconstitutional, saying the federal government can't deny legally married same-sex couples federal benefits. And directly following this ruling, Proposition 8 was struck down in California, legalizing same-sex marriages in the state.
As longtime gay rights advocates, Catelynn and Tyler were overjoyed by the news and took to Twitter to celebrate.
And the blushing bride’s main man also had some messages for his fans.
And when some of Tyler’s followers had negative responses to his support of gay rights, he tweeted another message to them.
The YouTube link takes you to a video called, “What If Being Straight Was Being Frowned Upon Instead?“
