Yesterday was definitely a good day for Amber Portwood. The former Teen Mom star got released from Rockville Correctional Facility after spending 17 months behind bars, enjoyed a delicious break from prison food, and was able to reunite with her 4-year-old daughter Leah.

While Amber was originally sentenced to five years in jail after opting out of her drug rehabilitation program, the former reality star was released early due to good behavior.

The 23-year-old mom reportedly went to see her daughter right after stopping for a burger post-release at a dive called Frisch’s Big Boy.

Amber has said that she’ll be fighting for joint custody of Leah with baby daddy Gary Shirley, with whom Leah is currently living with.

Unfortunately, Gary doesn’t seem quite so keen on Amber parenting Leah again. Prior to Amber’s prison release Gary tweeted, “God I love not having diverse parenting issues. All will soon end, soon. Boo! Oh well I’m a good daddy!”

Gary has been doing a fantastic job raising Leah by himself in the year and half since Amber has been in prison, but we also have to admit that Amber seems like a changed woman. The former reality star completed her GED while behind bars and took classes in anger management.

Do you think Amber will be granted joint custody of Leah? Should she be? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
