Fans were shocked when Farrah Abraham announced her appearance on VH1's Couples Therapy, but guys! She didn't seek help just to muse about her sex tape — she hit up Couples Therapy in order to understand why she can't find herself a boyfriend. Which brings us to her ex-lover, Daniel Alvarez.
Daniel and Farrah dated back in the golden days, but they had a pretty nasty breakup after Farrah scared Daniel off during a paddle boat ride from hell. Farrah wanted her man to commit, and he just wasn't ready — partially because they'd only been dating for a few months (if that!). Apparently, Couples Therapy shrink, Dr. Jenn Berman, thought a Daniel + Farrah reunion could shed some light on why Farrah's boyfriends keep ditching her, and not gonna lie: We were shocked to see this dashing gent back on the small screen.
Last time we checked, Farrah and Daniel didn't exactly get along — so why did he agree to an appearance on Couples Therapy?!
“I agreed to appear on the show because I saw an opportunity for me to clear the air regarding Farrah and I’s past relationship,” Daniel tells The Ashley's Reality Roundup. “In addition and most importantly, I felt it was a good time to give Farrah some direct and honest feedback on what I experienced during our time together.”
Daniel says he hopes that his participation on the show "helps Farrah realize some of her faults and aids her in becoming a better girlfriend and person altogether," but judging from her reaction, it did more harm than good.
“Although I didn’t see Farrah’s initial reaction, I don’t believe she was surprised," Daniel says. "She looked more upset than anything. [She gave me] that death stare she gives [her mom] Debra!”
Though Daniel and Farrah were able to work through a few of their issues, don't expect them to rekindle their relationship anytime soon. “I do not have any intentions to communicate with her moving forward,” he says. “That chapter in my life is closed and I wish to leave it in the past. I wish the best for Farrah and hope she cleans up her act, not only for herself but for her daughter Sophia.”
Oh, snap. Ball's in your court, Farrah! Do you think Daniel was too harsh with his former girlfriend, or do you think his appearance on Couples Therapy helped her? Dish your comments below!
