We need Teen Mom to come back on the air, and we need it to come back, like, yesterday. This smash-hit reality series was canceled after its fourth season, and fans have been pining for it ever since.

The good news? It looks like Amber Portwood, Maci Bookout and Catelynn Lowell are coming back for round two — at least according to the rumor mill.

Word on the street is that Teen Mom is being renewed for a fifth season thanks to continued fan-interest (though Farrah Abraham hasn't been invited back...awkward), and we got our hands on a intriguing piece of evidence that supports this theory...

You see, Maci happened to be in New York City recently (where she was honored by The Candie's Foundation for her efforts to educate teens about safe sex), and she made time to meet up with Teen Mom's head honcho, Morgan J. Freeman.

Morgan Freeman is the executive producer of both the 16 and Pregnant and Teen Mom franchise, and it's possible that his meet-n-greet with Maci could have something to do with negotiations about the rumored fifth season. It's also possible that they were just playing catch up, but that scenario isn't nearly as exciting.

With any luck, Maci's meeting with Morgan is a sign that Teen Mom's fifth season will be coming back sooner than we might think. As far as we know, the cast hasn't started filming (though Maci's ex, Ryan Edwardsdid tweet a picture of cameras back in March…), but hopefully the season will be given the go-ahead!

Do you think Maci's meeting with Ryan was for business or pleasure? Dish your theories in the comments.
