Here’s an example proving that nude photos are never a good idea. A Pasadena, California high school science teacher was horrified when his school email was hacked, and more than 200 students, staff, and community members received his naked photos.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the email contained four nude photographs of the John Muir High School teacher, Richard Rosa, and was sent out on July 10 from his official Pasadena Unified School District email account. As for the subject line? It was simply titled, “Enjoy.”

After news of the email came to light, the district’s superintendent Jon Gundry sent an apology to John Muir parents and students: “If you received this email, I would like to apologize for any harm this email might have caused and want to assure you that we are working with the relevant authorities to investigate the matter.”

Police Lieutenant John Luna told the Times that officials are investigating the incident, but they believe Richard’s email was hacked, and that he did not send the message.

While school officials say Richard — who has been working at the school since 2007 — is not in danger of losing his job, an online petition on MoveOn.org started by a student has already received over 400 signatures and counting.

Richard told the Times that the incident was “just a lot all at once,” but declined to comment further. Pasadena Unified School District spokesman Adam Wolfson said the district will be looking into how to protect teacher’s email accounts from hackers in the future.
