We’ve learned all kinds of life lessons from watching the documentary force of nature that is Teen Mom 2. For example, balloons make great head gear. Who knew?

We’ve also picked up some bona fide words of wisdom from these ladies, so check out our top five lessons from “Love Comes And Goes”!

1. Actions Have Consequences

Remember back in the day when Jenelle and Kieffer broke into his friend’s beach house and got high-high-high ya both high? Turns out that wasn’t such a great idea.

Jenelle had to learn from her mistakes the hard way, and was sentenced to 12 months supervised probation — which means she can’t drink or smoke, and she certainly can’t Delp.

We felt terrible for Jenelle as she lit up a cigarette in her car and sobbed, but maybe this probation isn’t such a bad thing. Jenelle will be forced to find new and improved ways to have fun — like hanging out with Jace and staring in wonder at her mother’s closet full of turtlenecks.

We know it will be hard for Jenelley to part ways with her jail bird friends, but actions have consequences!

2. Love (and Words) Hurt

Who else spent most of Tuesday night curled up in a ball on the couch mourning Leah and Corey’s broken relationship?

We can’t help but look back at their family portrait (you know, the one where they’re all dressed in camo?) and long for the good ol’ days. As much as we love Corey, he needs to learn a lesson this week: Words hurt!

Not only did Corey swear like a sailor at Leah (we believe his exact phrase was “that was like a f*cking smack in the f*cking motherf*cking face”), he told her that they rushed into marriage. Ahem. Need we remind Corey that Leah was the one who suggest that they wait to get married?

Obviously the camo hat has addled his memory, and thanks to his harsh language Leah ended up sobbing into a pillow. Husband fail!

3. It's Great to Give Back!

This week, Chelsea taught us the most valuable lesson of all: Nothing makes a girl feel better than donating time and money to a cause close to her heart!

The holidays might be over, but the season of giving is far from dunzo — a valuable lesson that we learned from Chel-Chel.

Thanks to Chelsea, fan-girls the world over were inspired to give back to their fave charity after Tuesday night’s episode ... Or they were just inspired to have an impromptu tie-dye party, which is almost as beneficial to mankind.

4. Mend Fences

Kailyn is fast and furiously becoming the most mature Teen Mom in the bunch, and her baby daddy Jo isn’t far behind!

Sure, he has questionable facial hair, and yes, we’re worried about these “groupies” he hangs out with — but this week Jo showed off his dapper DILF side.

No one wants to meet their ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend, but Jo handled the situation like a true champ. He was polite, friendly, and personable — and aside from that awkward convo about smoking crack, the meeting went off without a hitch!

Sometimes you have to soldier through an awkward situation just to make things less awkward down the road. Tear, these kids.

5. Keep Your Chin Up

Let’s take things back to our girl Chelsea, who dropped so many life lessons in our lap this week that we had to devote two spots on the list to her. Not only did Chelsea raise money for charity, she finally took control of her love life and got over Adam.

We can tell that Chelsea’s still super depressed about her breakup, but she tried her best to distract herself with fun things like balloon hats and new friends!

Pretty soon, having a blast will come naturally to her, and she won’t even have to think about Adam’s reign of dead beat terror! Get er done, Chels.
