We’ve learned all kinds of life lessons from watching the documentary force of nature that is Teen Mom 2. For example, jack-o-lantern earrings are in style all year round!

We’ve also picked up some bona fide words of wisdom from these ladies (otherwise known as “what not to do”), so check out our top 5 lessons from “Curveball”!

1. It’s OK to Ask for Help

Kailyn struggled with her pride this week when she was reluctant to go on welfare per Jordan’s suggestion. It’s true that some people abuse the welfare system, but Kail definitely isn’t one of them!

There’s nothing wrong with taking help where you can get it, especially if you’re willing to work hard in the process.

Luckily, Kailyn realized that she should put her pride on the back-burner, so she contacted the Valley Youth House, a non-profit which helps teen moms pay for housing while they get their lives together!

2. Communication Is Key

Corey needs to take off that camouflaged baseball hat, because it’s majorly masking his emotions. Shed a tear, for Uggs sake!

Leah and Corey’s marriage is getting more and more strained by the day, and it’s only going to get worse if Corey keeps closing himself off. Leah’s dealing with Baby Ali’s health problems all on her lonesome because Corey can’t communicate his man-motions with her!

Corey needs to open up and talk to his woman, especially about such important life-changing issues. Sigh, it’s becoming more and more clear why this marriage didn’t work ....

3. Don’t Drink and Delp

Kieffer Delp is fascinating enough without the aid of alcohol, but his drinking habit really takes him to another level of deadbeat. Poor Jenelle practically begged her man not to drink in front of her (someone is maturing before our very eyes!), but that didn’t stop Kieffer from cracking open and entire bottle of whiskey and chugging it.

The situation escalated when boozeing caused Kieffer to spiral out of control and throw Jenelle into a car. Lesson learned? Don’t drink more than you can handle, and don’t drink at all if you aren’t mature enough to do so responsibly! Also, always wear a belt because no one wants to see your assets.

4. Always Follow Your Head

As much as her friends, family (and the entire world) hate Adam, Chelsea can’t resist his hunky charm and now they’re back together. The reason? Because she needed to “follow her heart.”

Frankly, we’re surprised Chelsea’s heart has any life left in it considering how many times it’s been broken! This gal needs to learn from her mistakes and make sure history doesn’t repeat itself. We hate to see her get hurt!

At least we can learn from Chelsea’s romantic saga: Use your brain, girl. Or, in the words of Christina Aguilara, “my body’s sayin’ let’s go, but my heart is sayin’ no.”

5. Daddy Knows Best

Chelsea’s pop could barely contain his horror at the fact that she and Adam are dating again. Out of all her friends and fam, Daddy Chelsea is Adam’s no. 1 hater, and we’re right there with him.

Chelsea should listen to her daddy and ditch Adam before he  breaks her heart and she ends up sobbing into some over-sized sweater while binge eating SlimJims.
