In the wake of Teen Mom 2 Jenelle Evans's shocking arrest for heroin possession and simple assault, we can't help but think of Teen Mom's OG troublemaker, Amber Portwood. This infamous gal is currently serving time thanks to opting out of her drug court program, and her baby daddy, Gary Shirley, has taken to Twitter to give fans a much-needed update about his special lady's remaining time behind bars.

Amber was put into state custody on June 15, 2012, and given a five year prison sentence. However, she could be let out early for good behavior now that she's in a drug rehabilitation program called CLIFF (which offers a six month "time cut" off her sentence).

"So not including her first time cut she'll get in a month or 2 for cliffs she has 20 months left cause she served 10," Gary tweeted on April 24, adding "knock the soon to be 6 off [from CLIFF] which will take about 2 months she'll have 12 left then she can start another time cut."

Translation? After getting a time cut from CLIFF, Amber could be facing only one more year in jail. But wait, there's more! Gary says Amber can start another "time cut," which might get her out of jail in as little as six months.

"She could be out in 6 months to a year unless she modify's out per Cliff program," he tweeted, adding "not 100% sure exactly how all time cuts work but that how I understood them."

Gary's tweets are somewhat confusing, but essentially he's saying this: Amber's jail time will likely be reduced from 5 years to just 2.5 years thanks to good behavior. On top of that, she's eligible to slash even more time off her sentence if she participates in programs like CLIFF, which could whittle her jail time down to just 6 more months.

Fingers crossed!

Do you think it’s fair that Amber may get her sentenced shortened for good behavior? Tell us below!
