Time to check in on Teen Mom's most fabulous jailbird, Amber Portwood! The inked super mom was sentenced to a whopping five years in the slammer after opting out of her court-ordered drug program (she was addicted to Fentanyl patches). But the good news is that jail has had a major silver lining.
According to Amber's watermelon-farming baby daddy, Gary Shirley, this gal is doing better than ever.
"Update your asking for," Gary tweeted on April 14. "Amber is well. And in the 4th and finale [sic] stage of a program she in, and teaching anger management classes."
Gary is most likely chatting about CLIFF drug rehabilitation — which offered Amber a leadership position when she completes the program! But the real shocker is that Amber is teaching anger management classes — considering how bad her rage issues used to be.
"That is the one difference that I see in her most," Amber's brother Shawn wrote on his blog back in January. "She does not get nearly as angry as she used to. In addition, she nearly never curses, and when she does it is not that vulgar."
Sounds like Amber is making huge strides in jail, so hopefully she'll get out early on good behavior. Unfortunately, the Teen Mom star has yet to have a visit with her daughter, Leah, but according to Gary and Shawn they talk on the regular.
Way to go, Amber!
