Amber Portwood’s Brother Shawn Reveals New Details on His Sister’s Life Behind Bars

In addition to being allowed to see daughter Leah in jail, Amber Portwood seems to be doing pretty well in the big house.

The teen mom’s brother Shawn Portwood recently spoke with OK! Magazine about his sister’s current status.

“She likes being completely clean and sober,” he said. “Of course she misses Leah, but the good news is she gets to talk to her every single day.”

And does her bro think she made the right decision in choosing jail over rehab?

“It’s good that she’s [in jail] because she has a new level of focus and commitment that she couldn’t get on her own,” Shawn admitted.

It seems Amber’s brother, who is a father of two, is trying to do his part to assist in her recovery. Yesterday, he tweeted:

We agree, Shawn! Hopefully Amber will be happy, healthy, and jail-free soon because we know Leah could use her mother.
