Teen Mom's Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra might seem like innocent little lambs with narray a bad bone in their bodies, but turns out these two have quite the dramatic past. Word on the street is that Tyler and Catelynn were arrested back in 2009 for “Controlled Substance Use of Marijuana," and we're officially shocked! In the immortal words of Barbara Evans, "HIGH HIGH, YA BOTH HIGH."
According to Starcasm, Catelynn and Tyler were arrested on May 25, 2009 — just one short week after the birth of their adorable daughter, Carly (who was placed for adoption). Cate and Ty admitted to smoking pot, and were both fined $253 after pleading guilty to their charges on July 7, 2009.
Our jaws = dropped.
Tyler's father, Butch Baltierra, confirms Cate and Ty's secret arrest in Teen Mom Confidential, adding "as far as I know, they don’t do any other drugs.” Phew!
Though this happy couple haven't publicly addressed their drug use, let's not forget that these events took place four years ago. Cate and Tyler have been through so much since then, and there's no denying that they've grown leaps and bounds! Plus, who knows, maybe they'll come clean during a bonding session with Flavor Flav on the upcoming season of VH1's Couples Therapy.
