Farrah Abraham is speaking out for the first time since her arrest on Monday, March 18. The Nebraska native allegedly came close to hitting a police cruiser while under the influence. The 21-year-old Teen Mom star has reached out exclusively to InTouch with her side of the story.
“It was St. Patrick’s Day and I was out with my sister. I did not plan to drink because I was sick,” she told InTouch, she opted to be the responsible one and look after her sister. However, in waiting for her sister, Farrah says she had been “sipping on drinks to pass the time.”
When it was time to leave around 12:30 a.m., however, that’s when the trouble started. Farrah says that her sister refused to walk to the car and so she took it upon herself to retrieve the vehicle. When she saw all the police in the area, she parked her car. That, according to Farrah, is when all hell broke loose.
“When I was parked, a police officer asked me what I was doing, so I told him I was worried about my sister and I was trying to go home,” said the Teen Mom star. “They insisted on the regular questions and asked me to get out of the car. I got out of the car, and because I was upset, I yelled.”
We guess that would explain the belligerent behavior TMZ reported in the copy of the Omaha PD report. But as for the whole “biting the breathalyzer tube” incident, the momtrepreneur explained:
“Because I'm sick, I could not give an accurate breathalyzer test, due to coughing and shortage of breath.” Hmm … but how do you explain the breathalyzer test reading of .147 — double the legal limit, Farrah? Did you have too much NyQuil with your drinks? Sigh.
Farrah says that her lawyer is looking into matter and “all will work out with my ticket.” We don’t know how much we’re believing this story, but tell us what you think.
