Leah Messer just debuted her twin daughters' brand spankin' new butterfly earrings, and while they're all kinds of cute (sparkles!), we couldn't help but wince. Those bad boys look like they hurt!

There's nothing sweeter than a baby with diamond studs, but is piercing your kiddo's ears before they're old enough to deal with pain unfair? After all, having a needle jammed through your earlobe hardly seems like a toddler's idea of fun.

Then again, waiting to pierce your child's ears until they are older could be even worse. Elementary-aged kids are prone to freak out and panic at the mere sight of a needle, whereas toddlers and babies are more oblivious to the task at hand.

Either way, those of us who have had our ears pierced know it barely hurts more than a getting a shot, so if moms like Leah want to pierce their daughter's ears, it might be a good idea to hold our judgement.

What do you think, ladies with babies? Is it wrong to pierce a baby/toddler's ears?
