Jenelle Evans and her husband, Courtland Rogers, tied the knot during a romantic courthouse ceremony on December 4, but the day was somewhat marred by Courty's legal troubles. According to Jenelle's lawyer, Dustin Sullivan, this hunky hubby was "in court for obtaining property by false pretenses and shoplifting" just a few hours before marrying Jenelle — but what did Courtland allegedly steal?
A source tells RadarOnline that "Courtland is accused of taking a gift card back to a store and attempting cash it in, but according to the store the gift card was never purchased so that raised a red flag."
But there are two sides to every story, and Courty claims he's an innocent man. "I have had somebody take false charges out on me but thats ok because I am innocent so I will be okay," he wrote on Jenelle's blog last week.
Let's indeed hope there's more to the story than meets the eye. After all, this dude is a married man! Time for him to shape up and act like the responsible adult that he is.
