On May 1, 2012, singer Jessica Simpson and fiance, Eric Johnson, welcomed daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson into the world.
The birth followed regular criticisms of Jessica’s major pregnancy weight gain, but the celeb and clothing designer refused to let it get her down.
In fact, now that baby Maxwell is more than three months old, Jess is working on a Weight Watchers commercial. Yesterday, the mother tweeted:
Jessica will join the ranks of Mariah Carey and Jennifer Hudson, who are also official spokeswomen of major weight loss programs.
But does Jess need to feel pressure to lose the baby weight? After all, shouldn’t her focus be on her newborn in her time of need?
We applaud Jessica for her commitment to maintain a healthy lifestyle, but we’re hoping this new mom isn’t putting herself through too much to do so.
