Maci Bookout was a mere 17-years-old during 2008's presidential election, but this year she has the power to vote and isn't afraid to use it!

MTV caught up with Maci and and her boyfriend, Kyle King, as they hit the public library to register, but now comes the hard part. Who are they going to vote for on November 6?

"We've got to figure that out," Maci tells Kyle. "I don't know ... I have no idea, we have to pay attention. If the people that are voting are our parents and our grandparents then they're only voting for people that are going to do good things for them."

Maci and Kyle might be undecided about whether to vote for President Obama or his rival, Mitt Romney, but here are her thoughts on some important topical issues:

1. On weighing student loans against college: "I don't feel like people should have to make a decision like that based on being in debt."

2. On the military: "I don't want them to take advantage of our military. We should probably make sure we think about them when we're voting."

3. On abortion: "I don't agree with abortion, but at the same time I don't know if I could take a woman's right away. Just because I don't agree with it doesn't mean I don't agree that it should be a woman's decision."

Sounds like Maci has a lot on her mind! Take a leaf out of her book and get yourself registered. After all, voting is the most important way to make your voice heard. To quote Maci, "If all of us are going through the same things, the only way to make it fair is to go and vote."
