Should 16 and Pregnant’s Jennifer Del Rio Gain Sole Custody of Her Twins?

We reported yesterday that 16 and Pregnant’s Jennifer Del Rio filed for sole custody of her twin boys. Apparently, baby daddy Joshua Smith was a danger to the little tykes, and Jennifer wanted to keep them safe and far away.

This isn't the first time Jen and Josh have faced legal trouble — both were arrested in 2011 for assault and battery (to each other).

The teen mom "fled" from Florida to Lake County, Illinois where she filed the papers yesterday, and according to some rumors, Jennifer has officially won sole custody of her bouncing baby boys.

But is Jennifer the best person to care for these tots? Don’t forget, Ms. Del Rio has also been arrested for charges of battery, though she claims that Josh punched himself in order to file a restraining order against her.
