Teen Mom's Gary Shirley on Being a Single Dad

Teen Mom's Amber Portwood might be out of jail, but she's nowhere near regaining custody of her daughter, Leah.

Right now Amber's baby daddy, Gary Shirley, is a full-time caregiver to their child, and he spends copious amounts of time on Twitter cyber-crying with emotion.

Gary is a wonderful dad, but raising a kid all on one's lonesome is tough. "It doesn't matter that Leah and I are alone because God gave me a Lil girl strong enough and smart enough to handle life as its given to her," Gary tweeted on March 9.

"So I respect single mothers doing what I do cause ladies I understand," Gary continued. "I mean that I understand. I do apologize for those situations."

Awww, Gary. On behalf of "ladies" the world over, we accept your apology. But we're curious — now that Amber's out of jail, is she seeing Leah?

"Her mom sees Leah and is good to her just a sensitive subject," Gary explained. "u know so not gonna get into it."

Way to take the high road, Gary!
