If your plans don't include watching Being Amber on Sunday night, we probably shouldn't be friends. Former Teen Mom star Amber Portwood is making her much-anticipated return to reality TV on February 23 in an emotional one-hour special that delves into her life and relationship with her 5-year-old daughter, Leah, since being released from jail this past November.
In this sneak peek clip, Amber dishes on just how difficult it's been readjusting to her life outside the prison walls — especially with the cameras rolling. In fact, the admits that she should have waited a bit longer before filming again.
For Amber, the hardest part about returning to her former life is accepting the past and dealing with Leah's questions about where she's been … and if she'll stick around.
"Last night when we were going to sleep, and [Leah] said, 'Will you be here when I wake up?'" Amber says tailing off.
Unable to hold back tears, she hightails it to her bedroom where she speaks with a Teen Mom producer.
"I feel so f— bad. I left her for so long and I just don't f—ing want her to feel that way," the 23-year-old mom says sobbing. "I know why she's acting the way she is. She's afraid I'm going to f—ing leave her again."
"I just hate everything I did," Amber continues. "It was all the drugs and s—t. It was all I did. All I did was get f—ed up."
At this point Leah senses that something's wrong and goes to check on Amber, and the two share a tender mother/daughter moment. Aaand we're already ugly-crying.
