Teen Mom’s Amber Portwood to Be Released From Prison in November

Brace yourselves, world. Former Teen Mom star Amber Portwood is about to be released from Indiana's Rockville Correctional Facility!

Wetpaint Entertainment has received exclusive confirmation from the Rockville Correctional Facility that Amber is set for release on November 6, 2013. You may remember that Ams was originally sentenced to five years in the slammer, but our girl has turned over a new leaf and has been working extremely hard to get out of prison early. She’s been so good, in fact, that it will be hard for the prison to even function without her.

Gary Shirley’s baby mama is currently serving a 5-year sentence (beginning on June 14, 2012), after failing to complete a drug rehab program — stemming from earlier drug possession and parole violations in December 2011. But hey, you might as well check out her entire arrest history.

You have to commend Amber for deciding prison was a better option over rehab. She knew it would be tough on her own and she needed the confines of a prison to help her out. Well, it must have been worth it because Ams seems to be on the up and up.

The one thing we’re worried about is Amber getting out and finding her baby daddy Gary with his new lady. Oh well, at least Amber has Sugarfoot now.

What do you think about Amber maybe getting out of prison in a few months? Are you excited or worried? Hit the comments and weigh in!
