Tyler Posey plays one of the hottest supernaturals on TV, starring as teenage werewolf Scott McCall on MTV’s Teen Wolf. But who is the man behind the Alpha? Get to know the charming, and somewhat adorkable, 22-year-old star below.
He got his big break playing Jennifer Lopez’s son! Tyler memorably played Jennifer Lopez's young son in the 2002 rom-com Maid in Manhattan. We can’t think of a better way to make a first impression in Hollywood!
His first kiss was Miley Cyrus. Yep. You heard that one correctly. Tyler’s first kiss, and his first girlfriend, was none other than controversial pop star Miley Cyrus. "I worked on a TV show called Doc, starring Billy Ray Cyrus, when I was nine-years-old," he told Seventeen back in 2011. "His daughter, Miley Cyrus, was my first kiss and girlfriend. We dated for two years and broke up when we were 11." But perhaps things worked out for the best. Soon after his breakup with Miley at age 11, young Tyler met Seana Gorlick. And, after more than 10 years of dating, and the two are now happily engaged.
He proposed to his fiancé Seana in Hawaii. In July 2013, Tyler popped the question during their 12-day trip to Hawaii. "I didn't know if I was going to do it — I didn't have a plan or anything," he told Us Weekly. But, during their first night in the Aloha State, Tyler decided to pull the sparkler out of a drawer during a casual pre-dinner conversation. "I was so damn nervous. I just asked her and it was the coolest thing in the world,” he said. “Her reaction was the sweetest — I can't even explain it!" Aww!
He’s tatted up. Tyler has six tattoos — including his infamous armband tat that he got without telling Teen Wolf executive producer Jeff Davis and had to be written into the show — and he’s a fan of adding more. Tyler was surprised when the Teen Wolf writers wrote his armband tattoo into the script, and he told reporters that it has a lot more meaning than what we've seen on the show so far. As for his other ink, Tyler sports a music note by his armband (it’s the first note of a Blink 182 song — that’s his favorite band!), comedy and tragedy masks on his side (that’s his first, and largest, tat), a winky smiley face on his ankle, and two calf tattoos — on that reads “Derek” (his brother’s name) in script and a freaky zombie hand.
He’s a rockstar! Tyler used to be in a band called Lost in Kostko — it was spelled with K’s instead of C’s “because of copyright issues” — where he played guitar, say lead, and wrote all the songs. Sadly, the band broke up last year, but it looks like this rocker has already booked his next gig. Look for Tyler to start jammin’ with Aussie punk rockers Death! Death! Die! sometime in the near future.
