Teresa Giudice Fraud Trial: Bravo Treated Legal Drama With “Respect”

If the Real Housewives of New Jersey truly does treat Teresa Giudice’s legal woes with “respect,” it’s probably more than she’ll get from less sympathetic viewers.

Season 6 started taping in December, and Teresa’s crisis manager/legal coach Wendy Feldman confirmed to RumorFix that it just finished filming.

Wendy refuted rumors that Bravo exploited Teresa and Joe’s legal drama, and even had cameras rolling when they told their four daughters they may be going to prison, saying that's not what happened. “Teresa is a mom and no matter what show she’s on, she’s not going to do something private in that forum if it’s not best for them.” Wendy added, “Bravo and the production company treated this with respect,” noting that it was a collaborative effort that preserved the things that needed to be preserved.

Back in February, Bravo’s Andy Cohen talked to TV Guide about Teresa’s legal woes: "With Teresa, we're shooting New Jersey now, and that's very much the reality of what she's going through. It will very much be a part of the show next season. We cover it in the way that we can."

Teresa and Joe pleaded guilty to multiple charges of fraud on March 4. They could both face jail time, and sentencing is scheduled for July 8.

Bravo has yet to announce a premiere date for RHoNJ Season 6. How much of Teresa’s legal drama are you hoping to see in the new season?
