The latest episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey saw Garden State siblings Teresa Giudice and Joe Gorga in the ultimate showdown. When Teresa encountered her brother Joe at the gym, what should’ve been an open conversation became a grudge match with both siblings talking about the other’s spouse. Though Teresa didn’t watch the episode when it originally aired, she did write on her Bravo TV blog what she thought of her brother’s views on her marriage to Joe Giudice.
“He crossed the line and was out of line,” Teresa writes to viewers. “I get it that in the heat of the moment people who have deep feelings for each other know how to hurt each other the most, but still, there are lines you don't cross. When Joey started talking about my husband's parenting, that was it for me.”
During his one-on-one confessional, Joe told cameras that if he could do anything, he would go back in time and stop his sister from marrying Juicy Joe. Ouch.
While Tre says that she couldn’t understand why her brother would “attack” her the way he did and say such hurtful things, she relayed that a family psychologist told her Joey’s words were “a defense mechanism to protect himself from his own feelings. He denies anything is wrong in his own life, displaces his anger at himself or his wife to me since he knows I won't fight back, and projects things he is actually guilty of onto other people, like my husband.”
However, Teresa said the jab hurt nonetheless.
“It does make sense to me, but it doesn't hurt any less. I'm about to run out of prayers for him and me. I could use extra if you've got 'em.”
Since the events of this episode, Tre has said she, her brother, and her sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga, are now in a good place.
