This is definitely a stressful time for Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice and her husband Joe. And it appears that their stress is going to be prolonged, as Joe's court appearance that had been set for this week has been postponed.
Joe was scheduled to have a conference on January 13 to set a trial date for his charges of obtaining a driver's license through false identification. However, the conference has been postponed, according to North Jersey. Joe's attorney was apparently busy with another case, meaning Joe's case will have to be delayed until a yet-to-be specified date. This is not the first time this trial has been delayed.
Joe's case stems from a 2010 incident in which he allegedly presented marriage and birth certificates belonging to his brother, Pietro, in order to get a driver's license from the DMV while his own license had been suspended on a previous DWI charge.
Joe faces up to ten years in prison if convicted on this charge. Last spring, his defense rejected a final plea offer that would have handed him a recommended five-year stint in prison.
Meanwhile, this is hardly the only issue on Joe and Teresa's plate these days, as they are due in court next month to face federal fraud charges. Meanwhile, the two are dealing with new rumors about Joe cheating on Teresa.
Do you think Joe will get prison time for his driver's license debacle?
