We continue to be impressed by how strong Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice has remained amid her legal drama. However, she probably isn't pleased about how her book sales have been doing recently.
Radar Online reports that Teresa's book sales have tumbled since details of her federal fraud charges broke. The book that has taken the biggest hit has been her newest book, Fabulicious! On The Grill. After being released on May 1, 2013, the book sold 5,920 copies until the end of 2013. But it has reportedly sold only 80 copies since January 2014 until now, which is a whopping 97% sales decrease.
Her older books have seen sales diminish to a similar extent. Fabulicious! Fast & Fit was released in May 2012 and sold 20,875 copies through the end of 2013, which is a rate of just over 1,000 copies each month. But it has sold just 125 copies in 2014, which represents an 88% sales decrease. Yikes.
"Her book sales have been very low, and Teresa hasn’t been offered any gigs for paid promotional appearances either," says a source. The source has concluded that Teresa and her family will therefore have to sell their New Jersey mansion.
We're not exactly sure what to make of these sales numbers, since it's common for book sales to go down once a book has been out for a significant amount of time. This might not have to do with the fraud trial at all. Either way, we wish Teresa and her family all the best during this difficult time.
Are you surprised by Teresa's diminished book sales?
