The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 6 has been focusing on gossip and essentially meaningless drama so far, but in the background Teresa and Joe Giudice have been struggling with a true crisis. The pair have been indicted for fraud and have pled guilty. Both are facing potential jail time, but according to a new report, Teresa is confident she won't be put behind bars after her September 23 sentencing.

A source tells RadarOnline.com that Tre is "confident" that she's going to avoid jail time because she's the mother of four girls. It seems highly likely that Joe will land behind bars (though Radar's source also says Tre thinks even Joe could get away without going to jail), and the goal seems to be to get Teresa a more lenient sentence so the girls can have at least one parent at home.

"Teresa is planning on saying she just went along with whatever her husband Joe gave her to sign, and never paid attention to the details," the source adds.

The idea of trying to get Tre probation instead of jail time jives with other reports we've heard about the Giudice legal strategy. Whether not Teresa is actually as confident as this source seems to think is another question. She might be be trying to stay positive for her fam.
