It’s a boy for Thandie Newton! The British beauty, 41, welcomed her first son during a home birth on March 3, 2014. The little one joins two older sisters, Ripley, 13, and Nico, 9.
“Our baby boy is finally here! Booker Jombe Parker. Born joyously at home yesterday,” Thandie announced on Twitter March 4. And yes, the birth happened with no hospitals involved, something that Thandie is very proud of.
“My 3rd home birth with brilliant independent midwife Caroline Flint — and Carole Goddard @PhoenixMidwives. Keep independent midwifery alive!” she tweeted shortly thereafter.
Thandie, known for roles as Kem on ER and Linda in Will Smith’s The Pursuit of Happyness, revealed her pregnancy back in September. Little Booker is her third child with writer-director Ol Parker, whom she married 15 years ago.
Keeping with the all-natural theme, Thandie recently tweeted about some of the products she’ll be using to take care of her young son. “Blissed out with @NYR_Official supplies — from candles at the birth to Baby Balm for his skin — organic, gorgeous and nurturing,” she wrote on March 5.
Huge congrats to Thandie, Ol, Ripley and Nico on their family’s new arrival!
